dear Sarang and trupti,
salaam wale qum!
am back.
those were terrific, three days in K land.
am really very thankful to you.
i met people, lotsa them, ate good food, walked endlessly, and had a peep inside their minds.
the time was short so i tried to make the most of it.
yes, like you said, there is a hint of normalcy.
but truly speaking, it was just a hint.
militancy is gone. or maybe underground. people can breathe.
but i could see the minds wounded. troubled. people wanting to leave K. eager to go to pune, mumbai, delhi.
the government doubling up as militants without guns.
redefining the term democracy.
it's pathetic.
there is a LOC in each and every mind, every eye, every house.
i genuinely feel if the government doesn't act fast, see to the developement of the youth, eye the issue of unemployement, we would see the young tattered minds picking up kalashnikov's yet again. we have to act now.
in this wake ii simply respect what you people are doing out there. i can also imagine how difficult it must be.
kudos to you and your team.
the young men i met there had so many good things to say about you.
they consider you as their brothers and sisters.
kowsar was amazingly truthful and shared so much with me. little limki spoke so much. nazir full of anguish within and fighting against all odds with his full might.
it was heartening to meet all.
shukriya!!

Good work . Such friendship tours and student exchange programs will help to straighten the friendship and cultural bonds across in India. A Karyakarta from Northeast had written me a letter after Jnana Prabodhini's Friendship Tour in seven sisters , he quotes :" We may not fill the vessel through such short visits but we can make them oily.Such exchange programs will work as lubricant among the Indian citizens to understand the cultural diversity and how we can avoid social and cultural frictions."
